The Port of Northern Montana Multimodal Hub Center is designed as a fully functional inland port capable of receiving and delivering large industrial equipment and multiple bulk materials. Located at the intersection of two major BNSF Railway lines, Interstate Highway 15, and US Highway 2, the Center represents a major enhancement of regional logistics capacity including site development, new and enlarged roads, other traffic improvements, and nearly 15,000 feet of new rail line. The port is served by Burlington Northern/ Santa Fe and Union Pacific with close proximity to Coutts Alberta/Sweetgrass Montana Port of Entry and the Canadian Pacific Railway.

Glacier County was formerly part Chouteau County from 1865  to 1893 when it became a  part of Teton County before becoming an indepentent county in 1919. About 70.85 percent of the Glacier County's land area lies within the Blackfeet Indian Reservation. Another 20.58 percent lies within Glacier National Park at the county's extreme west. Its county seat is Cut Bank.
