SDC Brownfields Assessment Program: Community Meeting General Information
Sweetgrass Development, the regional economic development organization serving North Central Montana, including Cascade, Glacier, Pondera, Teton and Toole Counties, as well as the  Blackfeet Reservation, received $400,000 in EPA Brownfields grants to assess sites, with possible hazardous materials and petroleum contamination, that have been targeted for redevelopment.  Potential project locations...

Glacier County was formerly part Chouteau County from 1865  to 1893 when it became a  part of Teton County before becoming an indepentent county in 1919. About 70.85 percent of the Glacier County's land area lies within the Blackfeet Indian Reservation. Another 20.58 percent lies within Glacier National Park at the county's extreme west. Its county seat is Cut Bank.
